Im revisiting some of my older works which I often do when I get them back from shows.
For “Swallows over Mission trails” I emphasized some of the wildflowers that were in the foreground.
This is the very first piece where I combined different images!
For example, this is a real memory and photo of my kids hiking at Mission Trails regional park, but I added the wildlife that we had seen. In this case the swallows swooping around.
I often revisit paintings that I feel are still relevant to what I want to say. I’ll be adding this piece to my exhibit at Poway Center for the Arts in March.
